The overnight viewership figures for the September 14 premiere edition of ‘NXT 2.0’, the first show since the brand’s reboot, have now been revealed.
As per Wrestlenomics, this week’s show drew an average of 770,000 viewers the brand’s highest viewership since April 20, and a significant increase from the 601,000 viewers who tuned into last week’s episode.
In the 18-49 demographic, Tuesday’s show received a 0.21 rating, equating to roughly 275,000 views in the demo. The previous episode had earned a 0.14 rating in the same demographic.
The September 14 episode gave fans their first look at the new era of NXT. Many Performance Center prospects made their in-ring debuts on the show, including Bron Breakker (Bronson Rechsteiner, the son of Rick Steiner).
Tommaso Ciampa won the vacant NXT Championship in a four-way match. Samoa Joe recently relinquished the title due to injury.
A backstage report has revealed how involved Vince McMahon was with Tuesday’s production.
