NXT Plans For Future Special Shows Revealed

A backstage update has emerged on plans for upcoming WWE NXT 2.0 special shows, following the announced Spring Breakin’ event.

Following Stand & Deliver on April 2, NXT will hold its next special on Tuesday (May 3), in the form of special episode ‘Spring Breakin’.

Per Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there have been discussions about holding an ‘In Your House on USA’ special episode in June, and a WWE Network/Peacock event in July.

Stating that dates for either show haven’t been confirmed, Meltzer noted:

The plan right now on paper is to the peak for a June special called In Your House on USA and a Peacock special in July, but not on SummerSlam weekend. From what we were told, neither of those dates is confirmed but both of those dates are under discussion

At Spring Breakin’, Bron Breakker will defend his NXT Championship against Joe Gacy. Main roster stars will also be in action on the episode, with the Viking Raiders slated to face off against the Creed Brothers, and Natalya set to team with Lash Legend to take on Cora Jade & Nikkita Lyons.

Natalya returned to the ring in NXT on the April 19 episode, defeating Tatum Paxley in singles action.
