Well, this one is interesting. The ratings for NXT and AEW Dynamite have been revealed and NXT has taken the week. However, they only won by 1,000 viewers and they lost the key demographic by a significant margin.
Bryan Alvarez reported the news on Twitter.
NXT: 693,000
AEW: 692,000NXT was down at #51 in the key demo, AEW was #32, but NXT won total viewers by 1,000.

That is about as close as it gets without there being a tie. Dynamite placed 32nd in the key demo while NXT finished all the way down at 51st. This is why it is so interesting that NXT finished with more total viewers.
The news is dominating the ratings and people in the key demographics are watching it. This, of course, means they are not watching wrestling.
NXT had an important show. Io Shirai won a big number one contender’s Ladder match giving her a shot at Charlotte Flair’s NXT Women’s Championship. Then, in the main event, Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa had a very long brawl to finish their feud.
On the other channel, All Elite Wrestling had one of their weaker shows in recent memory. They are leaning on long matches to carry them and many of their matches are coming off too long. Cody managed to defeat Shawn Spears in the main event to event in the TNT Championship tournament.
