NXT Star Reveals Odd Faction Got Them Into Wrestling

Everyone has something that got them into wrestling. Whether it be Steve Austin, Hulk Hogan, CM Punk, there is always something that grabs you. For Shotzi Blackheart, her answer is different than most.

While speaking to Lillian Garcia on Chasing Glory, Blackheart revealed that she was never a big wrestling fan. However, that changed when she saw the Wyatt Family on Raw. Here is the full quote, courtesy of Wrestling Inc.:

“Well, I was never a huge fan of wrestling. Like, my brother was super into it and I would watch it when he did, or like, play the video games with him. But after leaving L.A. and moving back home, me and my sister were watching Monday Night RAW one day, and my sister was like, ‘Man, I want to be a valet for these guys.’ And I think it was The Wyatt Family on TV, and I was like, ‘Girl, we should be a tag team.’ And she was down for it, but I was the only one who pursued it.”

The Wyatt Family was a faction that was together off and on from 2013-2019 in some form or another. Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper, Erick Rowan and Braun Strowman were all members of the faction.

Shotzi Blackheart is currently wrestling in NXT and is nearing the one year anniversary of her first appearance. She is currently scheduled to captain a women’s WarGames match and her only official teammate is Ember Moon.
