During NXT‘s mini-tour of Europe, it appears one of the brand’s most promising prospects suffered an injury. Well, sort of.
At the end of a tag match pitting Ricochet & Johnny Gargano against Tommaso Ciampa & Velveteen Dream, Ricochet attempted a dive to the outside. Unfortunately, the risk didn’t pay off for the ‘One and Only’, as he overshot his target and crashed to the floor. Officials helped him to the back, and he did not appear at any further dates on the tour.

However, it does not appear Ricochet’s injury is serious, as Triple H stated in his NXT TakeOver: Chicago II conference call:
“[Ricochet] just tweaked himself a little bit at the show in Paris. He’s not injured, we just didn’t want to take a chance with it, with TakeOver being just down the road a bit here.”
Ricochet is currently scheduled to face Velveteen Dream at NXT TakeOver: Chicago II. Thankfully, it does not appear as though the match is in jeopardy, despite the injury scare.
