Popular NXT star and former North American Champion Trick Williams believes he’s “absolutely” prepared for WWE Raw and SmackDown.
Since Triple H took over WWE main roster creative, the transition for NXT talent to the main roster has been a lot more streamlined.
Fans have been able to see the likes of GUNTHER, Solo Sikoa and Dragon Lee garner success quickly into their times on Raw and SmackDown. This has led many to wonder who will be the next stars to get the call up and who will be prepared for that opportunity.
Appearing on Busted Open Radio, NXT star Trick Williams was asked by Bully Ray if he is prepared to make the jump to Raw or SmackDown. He answered:
“Absolutely.”
When asked if it’s something he would want to do or if he would like to continue with NXT until the time is right, Trick replied:
“To be honest, I’m a big proponent of being where your feet are. Whatever the mission is ahead of me, I want to kill that.”
“If that mean’s it’s Raw, it’s Raw. If it’s NXT, it’s NXT. Whatever the mission is, that’s where my feet are. I don’t try to look too far ahead most of the time.”
Trick Williams is coming off the biggest win of his young career as he defeated Bron Breakker, Tyler Bate, Josh Briggs and Dijak to win the Men’s Iron Survivor Challenge at NXT Deadline.
Williams will now challenge Ilja Dragunov for the NXT Championship on the January 2, 2024 New Year’s Evil edition of WWE NXT.
