The main event of Sunday night’s Forbidden Door event was the highly anticipated dream match between Bryan Danielson and Kazuchika Okada.
The match ended with Bryan submitting the Rainmaker, becoming only the second person to do so in his career.
The match was not without it’s downsides however, as Bryan said that he suffered a broken arm in the match, continuing to wrestle for 10 more minutes with only one working arm.
In an update, Bryan’s wife Brie Garcia shared a photo of the x-ray to her Instagram story today, showing the break in his arm, as well as calling the injury ‘worse than thought’.
You can see the photo of the break below.
It was originally expected that Bryan’s injury would keep him out of the ring for 6-8 weeks, though it may end up being longer than that if the injury is worse than expected.
Any further time out of action would likely keep Bryan out of the AEW All In event at Wembley Stadium in August.
