A popular AEW star is sadly likely to miss the remainder of 2023 with a serious injury.
Earlier this week, the main event of ROH Death Before Dishonor was cancelled due to an injury to Mark Briscoe.
Briscoe was scheduled to challenge Claudio Castagnoli for the ROH World Championship on the show, with a new challenger for Claudio set to be revealed next week.
After the announced, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful provided an update, saying that those close to Briscoe said he suffered a serious knee injury that would require surgery.
In another update from Fightful Select (subscription required), Briscoe is likely to miss the rest of 2023 due to the injury, unless something major happens.
We wish Briscoe a full and complete recovery from his injury.
On this week’s ROH show, a tournament began to crown the challenger for Samoa Joe’s ROH Television Championship on Death Before Dishonor.
The final between Dalton Castle and Shane Taylor will take place on next week’s episode of Ring of Honor on HonorClub.
