A new report has revealed more details on Raw After Mania changes.
As previously reported, Fightful Select (subscription required) provided a full list of the changes made to last night’s post-WrestleMania 39 edition of WWE Raw from Los Angeles, following reports of Vince McMahon returning to power backstage during the show.
The changes and McMahon’s presence as “the point person for the show” has led to backstage morale going down amongst the talent, which you can read here.
Fightful Select has provided further details on more changes that were made to last night’s show.
The report notes that the previously scheduled integration of the LWO stable and backstage segment involving Cody Rhodes were eliminated from internal plans on Monday morning.
The Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn vs. Street Profits match on the program was at least internally referred to as a tag team championship match despite not being announced as one on the show.
Candice LeRae and Piper Niven were originally planned for matches on the Raw episode, but were then cut just about an hour before the show went live.
There was originally supposed to be a mini tournament to determine a top contender for the Raw Women’s Championship, but it was switched to the Women’s Tag Team Title contenders match between Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez vs. Damage CTRL late as well.
Despite the earlier speculation that Seth Rollins’ segment on the program was changed at the last minute because someone ringside appeared to be giving him instructions, sources familiar with the situation claim it was originally scripted that way.
An earlier report also noted that some WWE talent may request to be released if Vince McMahon remains in power following last night’s Raw, which you can read here.
