The real reason Charlotte Flair is taking time away from WWE following last night’s WrestleMania Backlash has been revealed.
WWE announced that Charlotte Flair suffered a “fracture of the radius” after she dropped the SmackDown Women’s Championship to Ronda Rousey in an I Quit match.
Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer explained that this was done to write Flair off TV while she gets married.
Flair has been engaged to AEW’s Andrade El Idolo since January 1, 2020. Flair has previously said they would be getting married “this summer”.
It’s currently unknown exactly when the wedding will be, or how long Flair will be away from WWE TV for.
