WWE Star Pitches Match With Real-Life Partner

WWE star Andrade has addressed his reunion with Zelina Vega and pitched a match with his real-life wife Charlotte Flair.

Andrade joined the faction on the April 5 edition of SmackDown, turning on Dominik Mysterio and Santos Escobar to side with Rey Mysterio’s group.

This led to a match at WrestleMania 40, with Andrade replacing Dragon Lee a tag-team match which saw him pick up a victory alongside Rey Mysterio over Santos and Dominik.

Andrade joining the LWO means that he’s now allies again with Zelina Vega, who acted as his manager throughout his NXT Championship reign, and for some of Andrade’s previous main roster stint.

Speaking with The Ringer Wrestling Show, Andrade noted that his current relationship with Vega feels like a brother-sister dynamic.

He explained:

“Before, it’s like that (business partner dynamic with Zelina Vega) but now it’s like my sister. I’m happy now because for a long time and for a long period, we worked like heels.

“Always the bad guys, always the bad guys, always the bad guys. Now, the good guys so it’s a game change. I’m happy. Like, okay, now babyface. Now we need (to) smile. We don’t need little crazy, little loca. We need more relaxed.

Andrade also noted that he wants to wrestle alongside his wife Charlotte Flair.

Pitching a potential match against Rhea Ripley and Dominik Mysterio, Andrade said:

“I wanna work with my wife (Charlotte Flair) too. Maybe in tag, a mixed tag, I don’t know. Maybe versus Rhea (Ripley) and Dom (Mysterio).”

Flair has been out of action since December 2023. She’s currently recovering from torn torn ACL, MCL and meniscus injuries that are expected to keep her out of action for up to a total of nine months.
