Former WWE star Matt Riddle has fired shots at ‘0-2 CM Punk’ following Punk’s appearance at Survivor Series 2023.
Punk returned to WWE in the closing moments of Saturday’s (November 25) premium live event.
While a number of notable stars have taken to social media to celebrate Punk’s WWE comeback, Matt Riddle’s message for WWE and Punk were less positive.
Matt Riddle took to Twitter to tell WWE to have fun with ‘0-2’ CM Punk.
The former US Champion wrote:
Hey @WWE you thought I was hard to deal with 😂 have fun with 0-2 @CMPunk
Riddle’s ‘0-2′ comment appears to refer to Punk’s MMA run, with Punk losing to Mickey Gall via submission at UFC 203 in September 2016, and initially suffering a unanimous decision loss to Mike Jackson at UFC 225 in 2018 before the result was overturned and made a no contest.
Matt Riddle was released during the September 2023 round of WWE talent cuts.
The King Of Bros’ first post-WWE wrestling appearance has now been announced, which you can read more about right here.
