A new report has indicated that AEW will make its debut in Montreal, Quebec, Canada later this year.
AEW recently visited Canada for AEW X NJPW Forbidden Door, in addition to a number of Dynamite, Rampage and Collision tapings.
Per Pat Laprade of TVA Sports, multiple sources have confirmed that AEW will hold shows in the Montreal territory for the first time this December.
Noting that AEW is planning to hold shows in the Bell Centre on December 5 and 6, he wrote:
I spoke to multiple sources and AEW would make its long awaited Montreal debut on December 5 and December 6 at the Bell Center.
Wednesday will be Dynamite and Rampage, and the Tuesday show should be Collision and ROH. AEW is currently doing a Canadian tour.
While in Canada, AEW has held the first round of this year’s Owen Hart Foundation tournament.
The men’s semi-final matches will commence on Saturday’s edition of Collision, with Ricky Starks set to square off against Powerhouse Hobbs, and CM Punk to battle Samoa Joe.
Over on the women’s bracket, the Athena vs Willow Nightingale semi-final is also slated for this week’s show.
The last women’s semi-final bout , Skye Blue vs Ruby Soho, will take place on the July 12 edition of Dynamite.
So for those wondering, I don’t have a confirmation that Collision will be taped on a Tuesday, only that there will be a show that night, but what else would be taped?
AEW started pre-taping Collision (Hamilton was a Thursday) and WWE sometimes tapes 2 SmackDown the same day 🤷🏻♂️
