Report: Cody Rhodes To Star In A Classic Comedy Reboot WWE

A new report has revealed that Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes is set to star in a famous comedy film reboot.

At WWE WrestleMania 40 Night Two, Cody Rhodes defeated Roman Reigns to finally finish his story, ending Roman’s 1316 day reign and win the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.

Since then, Rhodes has been actively appearing on both Monday Night Raw and Friday Night SmackDown in a change from the latter half of Roman’s dominant run on top.

However, it seems like Cody will be finding some time to take part in a comedy film reboot very soon.

According to Daily Mail, Cody Rhodes is set to star in “The Naked Gun” reboot alongside Liam Neeson and Pamela Anderson.

The extent of his role in the movie is still unknown. When asking a source from the publication, they said:

“To make things a little easier for himself, he might actually end up playing himself in the film. It may be a cameo but his role is important and lends itself to the full story of the film.”

Rhodes has previously starred in “Warehouse 13” and “Arrow.”

“The Naked Gun” reboot is set to be out in July 2025. The film will be directed by Akiva Schaffer.

The original “Naked Gun” movie starred Leslie Nielsen and was released in December 1988. Two other films were released in the 1990s.

Cody Rhodes is set to defend the Undisputed WWE Championship against AJ Styles on Saturday, May 4 at WWE Backlash. For the full lineup for the event, click here.
