Report: ‘Crazy Gimmick Match’ Set For WWE Royal Rumble

According to a new report, there is a “crazy gimmick match” currently set for WWE‘s Royal Rumble pay-per-view event on January 31.

Ringside News, which has been accurate with WWE backstage reports like this, is reporting that the only thing that will stop a ‘Fiend’ Bray Wyatt vs Randy Orton gimmick match happening at the Rumble is unforeseen circumstances.

WWE has had several matches planned for the event, but we could well be seeing them on TV beforehand instead. Wyatt vs Orton won’t be one of those according to the report.

An example of that as we covered on the site earlier could well be the United States Title match with Bobby Lashley defending against Riddle.

So far, the only matches to have been officially confirmed by WWE for the pay-per-view are the men’s and women’s Rumble matches themselves.
