Report: Top AEW Names Say They’ll ‘Make Sure’ CM Punk Isn’t Brought Back AEW

A number of top AEW wrestlers have said that they will ensure that CM Punk is not brought back to the company after his suspension.

Punk was suspended from the company following a media scrum that was held immediately after AEW’s All Out pay-per-view, in which CM Punk was disrespectful to several prominent members of the company.

Punk was later confronted back stage about the incident, which led to a physical altercation between himself, his former trainer Ace Steel, and company EVPs Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks.

Now Chris Jericho, along with several other prominent members of the AEW locker room, has allegedly said that he will “make sure” that Punk is not brought back to the company.

Writing in the January 2nd edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer spoke about the situation:

“Several of the top guys, Chris Jericho being among them, told the rest of the locker room that they’d make sure Punk wasn’t brought back.

“I think a lot depends on where business is in about five or six months when Punk viably could be back.”
