AEW commentator Nigel McGuinness is continuing to tease a return to the ring ahead of the upcoming All In event.
On August 27, AEW will make its UK debut at Wembley Stadium in London, England.
The show is already slated to be the most-attended AEW event ever, with over 70,000 fans set to be in the stadium for the highly anticipated show.
Former ROH World Champion Nigel McGuinness previously hinted that if the stadium show sells out, he’d ‘dust off his boots‘.
McGuinness has now reminded fans of this unofficial wager, taking to Twitter to note that AEW is getting closer to selling out each day.
Questioning why he isn’t on the poster, he tweeted:
Getting closer by the day – where’s my face on the poster though 😉
McGuinness last wrestled on 2011, before eventually joining WWE in 2016 as a color commentator for the NXT and NXT UK brands.
After leaving WWE in October 2022, McGuinness would become officially All Elite on April 5, signing on as a commentator following his return to Ring of Honor.
McGuinness has a lot of history with ROH, previously holding the ROH World and Pure titles.
Another AEW name has stated that he’s hoping that he’ll be able to make a return in time for All In, which you can read more about right here.
