Yesterday, Wrestling Standard reported that Rey Mysterio had signed a two-year deal to return to WWE, something we covered on this very site.
However, if FWOnline‘s Dave Meltzer is to be believed, we may have to contain our excitement for the time being:
False as of a few hours ago but it could happen soon. https://t.co/N39lX35ehx
— Dave Meltzer (@davemeltzerWON) July 6, 2018
There are, of course, a few scenarios that could be at play here.
There is a chance that Meltzer is “working” us as there have been rumors previously of him working in tandem with WWE to ensure certain stories aren’t reported. It is heavily likely that Mysterio would be dropped from ALL IN if he signed with WWE, so maybe Meltzer is just trying to calm some nerves.
Alternatively, he could be absolutely correct and Wrestling Standard were misinformed.
Or maybe no one has a clue and we should just wait and see what happens.
Either way, keep your eyes peeled on WrestleTalk.com and our social platforms for future updates.
Would you like to see Mysterio back in WWE? Is it worth jeopardizing his spot at ALL IN for one last run in Vince McMahon’s company?
