WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley has jumped to the defence of Dominik Mysterio following his controversial officiating on this week’s September 5 episode of NXT.
Dirty Dom was made the special guest referee in the number one contenders match for his NXT North American Championship between Dragon Lee and Mustafa Ali.
However, as many would anticipate, Dom didn’t exactly call things straight down the line by any means, instead intentionally conducting a very fast count that saw Ali defeat Lee and earn a shot at Dom at the NXT No Mercy Premium Live Event.
While many would question Dom’s antics, his ‘Mami’ Rhea Ripley firmly disagreed seeing absolutely no problem with how he called the match.
In a post to Twitter following NXT Ripley uploaded a picture of Dom tucked in for bed along with the caption:

Along with a number one contender for the North American Championship being crowned, an announcement was made on NXT by Carmelo Hayes regarding who will get to face him for his title at NXT No Mercy on Saturday, September 30.
