There has been an update on Ronda Rousey’s AEW status and wrestling future following her recent ROH debut.
Ronda Rousey made her ROH debut at the November 17 tapings of Ring of Honor television, where she teamed with Marina Shafir to face ROH Women’s Champion Athena and Billie Starkz.
The same tag team match took place at the Wrestling REVOLVER event the following day, which led to speculation of Rousey not only returning to wrestling, but potentially signing with AEW/ROH.
In an update from PWInsider, there are said to be no current talks between Ronda and the company, no is she looking to have a short-term future in pro wrestling.
PWInsider was told that Ronda is focused on putting her family first in the coming months, as well as promoting her upcoming memoir set for release in April 2024, and that actively performing in pro wrestling is not something she is focused on.
Ronda’s recent appearances were mostly about her wanting the chance to work with Marina Shafir as opposed to actually returning to wrestling in her post-WWE career.
However, the door remains open should she want to talk to Tony Khan (or WWE) for a return in the future.
