Ronda Rousey has addressed rumors that she was unhappy with her position on the card on WrestleMania 38 Saturday.
In the penultimate match of the show, Rousey unsuccessfully challenged for Charlotte Flair’s SmackDown Women’s Championship. Kevin Owens and Stone Cold Steve Austin’s ‘impromptu’ match main evented the show.
Bryan Alvarez had reported that Rousey learned that she was not headlining WrestleMania 38 Saturday on Friday, and walked out of the American Airline Center before the Hall of Fame ceremony aired.
Rousey has now shot this report down, stating that she wasn’t at the Hall of Fame ceremony to look after her baby.
Noting that it was an honor to perform under the Texas Rattlesnake, Rousey tweeted:
“I don’t know where these “reports” come from but it was an absolute honor to perform under Steve Austin at Wrestlemania in Texas-I wasn’t a hall of fame because I have a six month old baby I had to put to sleep early. People are literally creating drama out of thin air.”
Tonight’s WrestleMania 38 Sunday show is set to be headlined by the Roman Reigns vs Brock Lesnar championship unification bout.
