Report: Big Star ‘Quit’ WWE To Pursue Another Project WWE

According to a new report from one Ronda Rousey ‘confidant’, the path from WWE to her next life may have been revealed.

Rousey had a hard out date from WWE after SummerSlam on August 5 where she lost to Shayna Baszler.

According to a report from Daily Mail, it seems that Ronda Rousey has her sights set elsewhere, including a return to UFC.

The belief is that Rousey wants to have one last fight in the UFC before hanging up her gloves for good.

The Rousey ‘confidant’ told Daily Mail:

‘She just had a match at SummerSlam and is looking to wind down her time and commitments with the WWE and she is now focusing on potentially making a run to have one last fight in the UFC and compete at UFC 300 when that presents itself sometime next year.’

For his part, Dana White has refuted the rumor that Rousey could be looking at a run again in UFC, commenting in the post-UFC 292 press conference earlier this month that there was “no shot”.

White said:

“There’s no shot. She accomplished everything she set out to do.

“Her dream was to win a UFC championship then win a WWE championship and she’s done it. Now she’s starting a family. Ronda has made so much money and she’s still making a lot of money in sponsorships.”

With the Daily Mail source describing Rousey’s career as “at a crossroads”, throwing out that Rousey enjoyed the experience competing on FOX’s reality series Stars on Mars and may be looking to explore more reality TV or acting roles.

The ‘confidant’ also said:

“She really wants to do it all [career-wise], but in the next few months don’t be caught off guard that she is having another kid because that is something she feels is one of the most important things to happen for her again.”
