Sammy Guevara has taken to Twitter to react to a childhood photo of himself with Jeff Hardy and indicates he’s ready to go!
Retweeting the sweet snap, Guevara teased a scintillating possibility writing simply:
“Jeff Hardy vs Sammy Guevara #LFG”
Two generational daredevils in what would undoubtedly be an exhilarating dream match with or without a ladder. No word if there is any supervillain origin story attached to the photo ala the MJF versus CM Punk feud.
Sammy Guevara recently lost the TNT Championship after a match on AEW Dynamite (March 9) against Scorpio Sky resulted in a pinfall loss. During the match Guevara was distracted by a ringside angle which saw new AEW signee Paige VanZant attack his girlfriend Tay Conti, throwing her into the ring steps, leaving him vulnerable to the Sky who was waiting to strike.
Jeff Hardy made his AEW debut on the same episode of Dynamite, coming to the ring to aid his brother Matt who was being attacked by his own defunct faction, the Andrade-Hardy Family Office which had just voted him out of the stable.
The betrayal by his former office mates was a twist of fate that freed him up to reunite with Jeff for their final run as the legendary tag team, the Hardy Boyz.
