When Samoa Joe returned to WWE after his April release, many people were wondering if or when he would make his in-ring return.
Well that question has now been answered, as per Dave Meltzer on Twitter, who confirmed that it was announced at the current set of NXT tapings that Joe will return to the ring at NXT Takeover 36 to take on Karrion Kross for the NXT Championship.
Joe’s last match took place in January 2020.
NXT Takeover 36 airs live on Sunday, August 22 on the WWE Network or Peacock in the United States.
