Samoa Joe has discussed the new AEW signings and acquisitions, such as Will Ospreay, Deonna Purrazzo and Bryan Keith.
2024 has started off with a bang for All Elite Wrestling in terms of the amount of free agent signings.
From the likes of Will Ospreay, Deonna Purrazzo, Bryan Keith and Queen Aminata, the promotion has been busy in securing top talent.
With many fans anticipating a new star arriving at AEW Big Business March 13, it is a very exciting time for the future of the company.
Speaking at the post-AEW Revolution media scrum, Samoa Joe was asked about the company’s growth in the talent pool to kick off 2024. He answered:
“It’s indicative of what AEW has always stood for. We go out, we find the best wrestlers in the world, and we bring them together to find out who is the best wrestler in the world.”
“Currently, that is me. But on my heels are some of the greatest grapplers to ever step foot in a ring.”
“When we have acquisitions, men like Will Ospreay, how can you not be excited about the future of this company? Once again, we set up the protocol. Will Ospreay is new here.”
“He’s a fantastic, dynamic athlete, has had tremendous success everywhere he’s been. But until he has that success here, I don’t need to worry about him.”
Samoa Joe defeated Hangman Adam Page and Swerve Strickland to retain the AEW World Title at AEW Revolution.
