William Regal’s new Blackpool Combat Club group has taken All Elite Wrestling by storm in recent months.
The group, consisting of Jon Moxley, Bryan Danielson and now Wheeler Yuta, has often had fans speculating who could join the ranks next.
One person often pitched is new ROH TV Champion Samoa Joe, who has history with Regal in NXT, and would fit the general tone of the group.
Joe recently spoke to the New York Post, where he spoke about the Blackpool Combat Club, and potentially joining the crew.
He said:
“There are a lot of men within that stable I have a great amount of respect from and some I’m learning to acquire respect for. Obviously some would think that it would be a perfect fit for me, but I’ve never been one to be a very good teammate so I don’t know how that would work.”
Joe recently captured the ROH TV Championship from Minoru Suzuki on AEW Dynamite, before being assaulted by the debuting Satnam Singh in an angle that was heavily criticised.
Joe spoke about the angle, believing that some of the criticism is ‘ridiculous’.
