Sasha Banks Issues With WWE Include Ronda Rousey WrestleMania 38 Booking WWE

More details continue to emerge regarding the controversy involving Sasha Banks and WWE, and now Ronda Rousey is in the mix.

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer explained that Banks has many built-up issues, and one of those involves Rousey’s role at WrestleMania 38 and how it affected Banks.

This is because Rousey challenged Charlotte Flair one-on-one for the SmackDown Women’s Championship, but Flair’s opponent was originally supposed to be, you guessed it, Sasha Banks.

WWE wasn’t sure that Rousey would be returning at Royal Rumble, so had planned Flair vs Banks as the title match.

However, when the company knew Rousey would indeed be returning, the decision was made to slot her into the match due to the belief she’s a ‘bigger star’.

The belief is, as you would probably expect, Banks wasn’t particularly pleased about the change. And this is just one of numerous things she’s been unhappy with in recent times, including the direction on last week’s Raw and her Women’s Tag Team Championship reign with Naomi in general.

It was now a week ago that Banks and Naomi walked out of WWE Raw, and since then, they’ve removed WWE references from social media, and WWE has stripped them of the Women’s Tag Team Championship, removed them from various intro videos, took down their merch, and announced they’re suspended.

We’ll continue to keep you informed with all the updates as they come to light. The latest word was that the situation is expected to get worse before it gets better.
