Scrapped Plan For Triple H At WrestleMania 38 Revealed

Scrapped Plan For Triple H At WrestleMania 38 Revealed WWE

Triple H has revealed that a plan for a segment with Gable Steveson at WrestleMania 38 was scrapped.

The Game opened the second night of the April 2-3 event to welcome fans, before leaving his wrestling boots in the ring. He has recently confirmed his retirement, following a serious cardiac event in September 2021.

Later that night, Gable Steveson suplexed Chad Gable following the Raw Tag Team Championship match between champions RK-Bro and challengers Alpha Academy and the Street Profits.

Speaking with Ariel Helwani for BT Sport, Triple H revealed that a segment on the show featuring himself and the Olympic gold medallist was nixed:

“There was a plan for me to do something at WrestleMania that we had talked about. I was going to do something with Gable Steveson and try to get him launched and get going.”

Steveson signed an exclusive agreement with WWE in September 2021, with the expectation that he’d join WWE full-time after finishing college. Despite being officially selected for the Raw roster in the 2021 WWE Draft, Steveson has yet to make his pro-wrestling debut.

Recent reports have indicated that ‘everything is cold’ on Steveson following his extremely sporadic WWE appearances.
