Seth Rollins & AEW Star Reflect On Previous WWE WrestleMania Weekend Match WWE

Seth Rollins and an AEW star have reflected on a previous in-ring meeting over WWE WrestleMania weekend.

After 14 years in the company, Seth Rollins will main event his very first WrestleMania, when he teams up with Cody Rhodes to face off with The Rock and Roman Reigns in a huge tag team match on Night One of this year’s Showcase of the Immortals.

In that time Rollins has carved out a Hall of Fame worthy career in WWE, winning five world championships, the 2019 Royal Rumble and many other accolades.

But despite that, he hasn’t forgotten where he came from prior to being signed by WWE – namely his time in ROH.

Rollins competed in ROH as Tyler Black between 2007-2010, winning the ROH World Championship on one occasion and the ROH Tag Team Championships twice alongside former WWE and current AEW Producer Jimmy Jacobs.

Dark Puroresu Flowsion, recently uploaded a clip of a March 29, 2008 ROH match at Super Card Of Honor III to Twitter, featuring Rollins and Jacobs teaming against The Briscoes.

This then gave the current WWE World Heavyweight Champion a chance to walk down memory lane.

Rollins wrote:

Maaaan, I f’n loved being in the ring with the Briscoes and Jimmy. Infectious energy.

This particular night was extra special. Street Fight. Orlando. Mania weekend.

Just some kids in our early 20s trying to make our mark. Feels like another life.

Also spotting the clip was AEW star Mark Briscoe, who also seemingly had fond memories of that era of ROH.

Briscoe Tweeted:

The good ol’ days @WWERollins @jaybriscoe84 JIMMY JACOBS

Rollins joins an esteemed list of ROH alumni that have main evented WrestleMania, including Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn and Bryan Danielson and his WrestleMania 40 tag team partner Cody Rhodes.

Elsewhere, on WrestleMania Night Two, Rollins will defend the World Heavyweight Championship against The Scottish Warrior Drew McIntyre.
