Shawn Spears Makes A Challenge For AEW: Double Or Nothing

During tonight’s AEW: Dynamite, Shawn Spears debuted a new gimmick of sorts. He was a news anchor and hosted his own news segment.

The focus of his “report” was Dustin Rhodes. He talks about how Dustin is retired after getting destroyed by Lance Archer a few weeks ago.

He makes a few corny jokes and takes a few shots at Cody. He even blames Cody for his brother’s status.

He then talks about it being a travesty that he doesn’t have a match at Double or Nothing this weekend. Since he feels no one is taking him seriously, he says he’ll take matters into his own hands.

He then challenges Dustin Rhodes to a match at Double or Nothing. After the promo,  JR, Tony Schiavone, and Excalibur confirm the match is official.

This match is added to an already deep card.
