SmackDown Final Viewership Slightly Down For September 3

Here are the final viewership figures for the September 3 episode of Friday Night SmackDown, featuring a Universal Championship match.

As per Showbuzz Daily, last week’s show drew an average of  2.220 million viewers. The August 27 episode of SmackDown was watched by 2.250 million viewers.

In the 18-49 demographic, the last Friday’s episode earned a 0.62 rating, up from the 0.59 rating the show received for the previous week.

On the show, Roman Reigns successfully defended the Universal Title in a match against Finn Balor. Following the match, the return of Balor’s ‘Demon’ was teased.

it was reported that Sasha Banks was backstage for the show. Banks hasn’t appeared on WWE TV since before SummerSlam, where she was originally set to challenge Bianca Belair for the SmackDown Women’s Championship.

Vince McMahon was reportedly not in the arena for Friday’s episode. McMahon also missed Monday’s (September 6) Raw taping.
