WWE Hall of Famer Edge took part in the final match of his WWE contract last month, when he faced off with Sheamus in the main event of SmackDown in Toronto.
Following the match, Edge claimed that his WWE contract is set to expire in September, which led to speculation about his future in the company.
It was reported that some in WWE believe that Edge is ‘AEW bound’ after they didn’t agree on terms for an extension.
Edge himself took to Twitter to say that he still has a WWE contract extension sitting in his inbox, but he doesn’t know what he wants to do.
Well, on last night’s (September 8) episode of SmackDown, WWE created and aired a new intro video for the show, featuring some of SmackDown’s top stars.
Interestingly, WWE made sure to add Edge into the intro, despite the reports and speculation that his time in the company could be over, as you can see below.
Christian Cage was asked about Edge potentially joining AEW during the All Out media scrum, which you can see here.
