Christian Cage has reacted to the possibility of a reunion with Edge in AEW with Edge’s WWE contract coming up soon.
According to Edge, his recent match with Sheamus was the final match on his contract, but he does actually remain under contract until the end of September.
It’s been reported that WWE expects Edge to go to AEW, but Edge himself says he hasn’t made a decision yet, be that WWE, AEW, or even just retiring entirely.
In the post-All Out media scrum last night, Christian Cage was asked about Edge possibly making the move to AEW, and remained in-character with his response, saying:
“I only talk about myself and Luchasaurus, and I have no friends other than Luchasaurus. I’ll leave it at that.”
Christian himself didn’t wrestle at All Out, but was in Luchasaurus’ corner for his TNT Championship defense against Darby Allin.
Naturally, Christian was wearing the TNT Title belt for the media scrum.
He did seemingly break some other news too as he said he recently re-signed to AEW with a “big fat contract”.
