Sting SHOOTS On An Iconic Career!

That’s as honest an answer as we can expect. If we’re being honest with ourselves, in hindsight, a 1994 Sting in the cartoon character ruled WWF would have looked somewhat out of place. The matches he could have had with the likes of Shawn Michaels, Bret Hart – they would clash in WCW – an in his prime Curt Henning and others will always be a missed opportunity, but this is a man who cared more about his family than what could have been. Bravo.

Sting’s WWE debut at Survivor Series 2014 was a legitimate shock. He’d shunned the temptation for over 26 years and then suddenly, with the hark of a crow and flicker of the lights he was here to see out what remained of his career. So what was his reaction to coming to finally signing on the dotted line?:

“I was shocked at how everyone treated me. I met the entire PR department up there in the big building in Connecticut. I went up there and met everybody and everyone-it wasn’t false, it was real. The enthusiasm, I mean everybody was just pumped to have me there and I felt pretty secure about it. They treated me well and Vince has been nothing but respectful and good to me all these years. By the time I ended up coming up there, he was the same way. When I went up there the first time, he wanted me to come in and say hello to him. He even wanted to produce and direct a lot of my spots that I did.”
