Tag Team Championship match announced for Monday’s Raw

It has been announced that Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre will defend their newly won WWE Raw Tag Team Championships against the Revival this Monday on Raw.

This follows up on the backstage attack that Drew and Dolph unleashed on Dash and Dawson about a month ago. The pair ambushed the Revival backstage prior to the latter’s scheduled Tag Title match against the B-Team. Ziggler and McIntyre would wrestle in their place, and win the titles that night.

This match is a long time coming for the Revival, who previously had a fluke loss to the B-Team at Summerslam for the straps.

WWE.com has this to say about the announcement:

“After earning a Raw Tag Title opportunity several weeks ago, Scott Dawson & Dash Wilder are ready to collect on what’s owed them. Whether they will be able to topple the tough-as-nails tandem currently standing atop of the mountain remains to be seen. When all is said and done, will there be a championship revival for former NXT Tag Team titleholders Dawson & Wilder, or just another reckoning by Dolph Ziggler & Drew McIntyre?”

This certainly should shape up to be a very solid match, as the four men are all good, experienced, workers. One can only wonder if WWE will finally pull the trigger ontThe Revival, and have Dash and Dawson capture the gold.

Of course, not many would be surprised if WWE kept the titles on McIntyre and Ziggler to continue their storyline with the Shield.

Other matches confirmed for Raw this coming week are Brie Bella vs. Ruby Riott, and Bobby Lashley vs. Elias
