WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins has fired back at The Rock, noting that the Hollywood star has been saying some “dumb s**t”.
The Rock has been at odds with Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes since the WrestleMania 40 Kickoff event, where the duo sided with one another to confront the Rock and Roman Reigns.
With the four stars set to face off in tag-team action at WrestleMania 40, The Rock has stated on several occasions that wrestling is now cool.
Seth Rollins took to the mic at Sunday’s (March 24) WWE house show in Rockford, IL to share his “real” reaction to The Rock’s comments.
He said:
“The last few weeks the biggest star in Hollywood has returned to the WWE. And man, he’s said a lot of really dumb s**t.
“We’ve got to be real, right? That’s The Rock’s thing. We got to be real. There are no standards and practices here in Rockford.
“So you wanna know what’s real? All the dumb s**t The Rock’s been saying over the last month, the worst thing that I have heard is he’s taking credit for making professional wrestling cool.”
Rollins went onto note that fans supporting the product and wrestlers’ hard work is actually what made wrestling cool. You can watch the full segment, also featuring Cody Rhodes, below.
Seth Rollins will have to pull double duty across WrestleMania 40 weekend, with the Visionary also set to defend his World Heavyweight Championship against Drew McIntyre.
McIntyre recently admitted that he was legitimately frustrated after a major loss, which you can read more about right here.
