Top WWE Star Legitimately Frustrated About Loss To Roman Reigns WWE

WWE Raw star Drew McIntyre has admitted that he was legitimately frustrated after losing a major match against Roman Reigns.

With McIntyre set to challenge for Seth Rollins’ World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 40, it has been heavily speculated that the Scottish Warrior will leave the April 6-7 as a World Champion.

This isn’t the first occasion where fans expected McIntyre to win his second world title, with many fans predicting that McIntyre would dethrone Roman Reigns and win the WWE Undisputed Universal Title at the September 2022 Clash At The Castle event in Cardiff, Wales.

McIntyre ultimately came up short in this title match, losing to Roman Reigns after 30 minutes of action following the main roster debut of Solo Sikoa.

Speaking with Gorilla Position, McIntyre admitted that he was genuinely upset and frustrated with having to lose this bout.

Believing in hindsight that he needed this moment to turn him into the person he is now, McIntyre said:

“I was very very upset, I was frustrated. I understand the bigger picture with Roman and where the company’s going, where he’s going, how necessary it is.

“Personally believed there was maybe another way to figure out how we can protect what’s going on with him, but also elevate McIntyre to where we need him to be for the company. We didn’t do it that night, and I thought we could have maybe should have.

“(Triple H) always talks about the bigger picture, the long game. If I’d won that night, the story wouldn’t be the same obviously as it is right now. It’s interesting.

“As frustrated as you might be at the time, if you take the time and you go through the emotions, and you have those emotions stored in mind when you get presented with an opportunity of we can tell this really interesting story now, that is such an important part of it. If it went the way I felt like it should have on the night, we wouldn’t be where we are right now.

“So wrestling’s a funny old thing. The good thing is it’s 52 weeks a year. You’re only as good as your last match, your latest storyline.”

Many people are predicting that Reigns will finally lose his gold at WrestleMania 40, with the Tribal Chief set to defend the WWE Undisputed Universal Title against Cody Rhodes for the second year in a row.

Roman Reigns recently passed a significant milestone ahead of WrestleMania, which you can read more about right here.
