The Rock has responded to rumours about his backstage behaviour in WWE ahead of his in-ring return at WrestleMania 40.
Rock made his return on WWE on the February 2 episode of SmackDown, where he seemingly replaced Cody Rhodes against Roman Reigns in the main event of WrestleMania.
When Rock returned, many believed he had used his power as a member of the TKO Board of Directors to force himself in the main event of WrestleMania.
The Rock recently took to Instagram, where he shared a quote by WWE announcer Corey Graves, where he spoke about Rock’s backstage behaviour, praising his work and attitude.
He responded:
I always felt life is so much sweeter when you’re not an asshole 😉
Thank you @wwegraves – these are very kind words, that I appreciate very much. I will shake your hand and thank you when I see you 🫱🏾🫲🏼
I love pro wrestling – it’s in my blood – and will do everything I can to elevate our business for all of us and our passionate global audience.
It’s nice to be important, but it’s more important to be nice.
