The Rock Wax Figure Gets Fixed After Skin Tone Criticism WWE

The Rock wax figure gets fixed by a museum in Paris after skin tone criticism.

The Grevin Museum in Paris proudly revealed a life-sized figure of former WWE Champion and Hollywood megastar Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson earlier this month.

Despite the museum’s best intentions, the figure was met with a great deal of criticism due to the model’s skin tone being much lighter than Johnson. Many fans accused the museum of “whitewashing” The Rock.

Per B.B.C., the museum bosses have made the decision to “rework” it. Johnson stated that the model needed to be updated “with some important details, starting with my skin color.”

The Rock even shared a video by content creator and “Netflix’s The Circle” Season 3 winner James Jefferson Jr., making light of the wax figure’s skin tone.

The Grevin Museum admitted that Johnson was correct and stated that their staff worked overnight to “remedy” their error.

The museum’s director Yves Delhommeau stated that The Rock would visit the museum “later on to see if there are other modifications that need to be made”.

There are currently no plans for The Rock to return to face Roman Reigns at next year’s WWE WrestleMania 40, which you can read more here.
