Three Major Matches You Can Expect To See At WWE TLC 2019

WWE Survivor Series had some exciting matches and it cemented NXT superstars Rhea
Ripley and Keith Lee as future main eventers. WWE TLC is the next pay-per-view and the
company wants to end the year on a high note. Sportsbooks will have odds for this event, so
make sure to check them out around a week before it takes place.

NXT won the war for brand supremacy last Sunday, proving that they’re the hottest brand in
all of wrestling, not just in the WWE, the problem is that WWE TLC will not feature NXT
superstars, which means that WWE will have to rely on the storylines from Raw and
SmackDown to make the event compelling enough for all fans… good luck with that!

WWE TLC will take place at the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota on Sunday,
December 15 at 7:00 PM ET. This event has always been very fun because some of the
matches usually carry gimmicks related to, you guessed it, Tables, Ladders and Chairs. It is
also an intriguing pay-per-view because it can set up feuds for the Royal Rumble and possibly
WrestleMania.

The results of Survivor Series provided clues regarding what direction WWE will take for the
Raw and SmackDown feuds at TLC and other storylines were already in place way before
last Sunday’s event.

Let’s look at what the future could potentially hold for WWE TLC and predict some matches
that could be part of the event.

Seth Rollins vs. Kevin Owens

I wrote this before the November 25 episode of Monday Night Raw but earlier today it was
announced that Seth Rollins would demand an explanation from Kevin Owens because he
blames him for Team Raw losing the Men’s 5-on-5 Elimination Match against Team
SmackDown and Team NXT. Rollins actually questioned Owens’ allegiance before the match,
appearing with him in the backstage segment and asking if he was thinking about joining
NXT, since he was part of Team Ciampa in a WarGames match against The Undisputed Era.
Rollins and Owens desperately need a new feud and I would make this a No. 1 Contender’s
Match for Brock Lesnar’s WWE Championship. I would have Owens win but knowing WWE
Rollins would prevail.

New Day vs. Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode

There was a 10-team Battle Royal at the Survivor Series Kickoff and Dolph Ziggler and
Robert Roode got the win for SmackDown, which means that a push could be on their way
and they could use that win as a reason why they should challenge The New Day for the
SmackDown Tag Team Championships.

I would also add The Revival, they shouldn’t have lost the SmackDown Tag Team
Championships to the New Day, they should have been in the Survivor Series match against
The Viking Raiders and The Undisputed Era, I really don’t get why they keep giving
meaningless reigns to The New Day, they don’t the titles to be relevant and I can’t take them
seriously to be honest… Kofi Kingston was squashed in five seconds by Brock Lesnar in the
SmackDown on Fox premier on October 4 and he hasn’t even mentioned it, is like the WWE
Championship meant nothing to him, he immediately rejoined the New Day and is happy like
nothing happened… maybe WWE gave The New Day their latest championship reign to
make up for Kingston losing like that to Lesnar but I just don’t get what WWE is thinking
sometimes.

Rusev vs. Lashley

I don’t even want to go over this storyline but I have to mention it here because they will likely
make a match for TLC (to hopefully end this awful soap opera once and for all).
The Rusev, Lana and Bobby Lashley drama was not part of Survivor Series but WWE could
continue it in the next few weeks. All about these segments has been awful and wrong on
many levels but they do get a lot of views on YouTube, which is enough to make WWE justify
why they do something like this in the first place. Hopefully they have a match and end this
once and for all, this is not helping any of them, Lashley should be going after Brock Lesnar
and while Rusev and Lana’s future in WWE isn’t clear, they deserve much better than this.
