During last night’s (August 24) episode of AEW Dynamite, it was announced AEW Women’s Champion Thunder Rosa had sustained an injury which meant AEW will need to crown an interim Women’s Champion at All Out on September 4.
Following this announcement, there were unconfirmed rumours that Rosa has been caught up in backstage issues, with one rumour going as far as suggesting Rosa had been suspended, which is why she was taken out of the match.
However, a new report from PWInsider states there is “zero truth” to the suspension rumours, and that Rosa has genuinely sustained a real injury.
The interim AEW Women’s Championship will be battled for in a fatal-4-way match at All Out, a match which features Toni Storm, Hikaru Shida, Britt Baker and Jamie Hayter.
If any of the rumours have been confirmed, we will of course let you know, but as of right now, they really are just rumours, so don’t believe everything you read just yet.
