Thunder Rosa Addresses Rumours Of Backstage Issues In AEW AEW

One of the most noteworthy announcements on this week’s AEW Dynamite was the announcement that AEW Women’s World Champion Thunder Rosa was out with an injury, and would be stepping back as the AEW Women’s World Champion.

A four-way was announced for AEW All Out to crown the interim AEW Women’s World Champion between Britt Baker, Toni Storm, Jamie Hayter and Hikaru Shida.

The announcement of Rosa’s injury came at the time when reports of backstage issues between her and Baker, which led to speculation that Rosa was not actually injured, and that she was sent home to calm down the issues between the two.

Thunder Rosa spoke on Busted Open Radio, where she spoke about her injury, confirming that her injury is real and not a work.

She said:

“This is not fake, not a work. If I can f**king work, I can f**king work. I’m sorry, guys. I want to walk when I’m 40, I want to have kids…I have the right to say, ‘No, I can’t walk, I can’t do it.’ I don’t want to have surgery (and be out longer).”

Rosa continued on, speaking about the alleged issues with people backstage in AEW, telling people that have issues with her to come and speak to her.

She said:

“If anyone has a problem with me, anyone, call Busted Open, call my number, you can tell me to my face. I don’t hide from problems, I don’t run from my problems. You can talk to me. My door is open.”

Rosa announced yesterday that she was taking a step away from social media following the rumours, with the AEW locker room reportedly split on her backstage reputation.
