Backstage heat between AEW Women’s World Champion Thunder Rosa, Britt Baker and Jamie Hayter has been revealed.
On the August 24 edition of AEW Dynamite, Thunder Rosa announced that she had suffered an injury that was forcing out of in-ring action for the upcoming All Out pay-per-view.
With Rosa out, the company will crown an AEW Interim Women’s World Champion in a four-way match at the September 4 event in Chicago.
Following this announcement, Voices of Wrestling reported that Rosa and Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. can’t stand each other.
Fightful Select (subscription required) has confirmed the report, indicating that Rosa and Baker have had heat for well over a year now.
However, the two have attempted to remain professional and work with each other. The report also notes that Jamie Hayter has also developed heat with Thunder Rosa, following suffering a broken nose in their AEW Battle of the Belts III match earlier this month.
Much of the heat between the two women emerged from Rosa working too stiff in the ring.
Britt Baker and Jamie Hayter will compete in a four-way match against Toni Storm and Hikaru Shida to determine the AEW Interim Women’s World Champion at All Out on September 4.
As previously noted, the nature of Thunder Rosa’s injury has been revealed, which you can read more about here.
We will have further update on Thunder Rosa when they become available.
