AEW have announced that Darby Allin will defend the TNT Championship once again on Dynamite this coming Wednesday.
Allin is certainly a fighting champion. On Wednesday, his title is on the line once again, against The Dark Order’s 10. This will be Allin’s fifth defence for the championship in 4 weeks.
On Twitter, Allin noted that in his last match with a Dark Order member, Jon Silver left Daily’s Place with a dislocated shoulder. Explaining that he doesn’t accept this as a victory, he called out 10 for a match on Wednesday.
Addressing 10’s legacy, Allin tweeted:
“The last time I stepped foot in the ring with a dark order member I beat Jon Silver After he dislocated shoulder that’s not a win I’ll accept. @Pres10Vance Brodie handpicked you as his protege If you ain’t doing shit Wednesday you know what this means…..”
AEW retweeted Allin’s post, officially announcing the title match. It was noted that The Dark Order will be ringside for 10, and Sting will accompany Allin to the contest.
The company referenced 10’s 7-1 record, tweeting:
The challenge by TNT Champion @DarbyAllin has been accepted, & the title match is booked for #AEWDynamite: Darby defends vs. #DarkOrder’s @Pres10Vance (7-1 record) in a TNT Title match this Wednesday, April 28 at 8pm on @tntdrama in Darby Allin’s 5th TNT Title defense in 4 weeks! https://t.co/aX5PurqDWh pic.twitter.com/VgJMxSoZbk

Allin has defended the TNT Championship numerous times on TV since winning the gold at Full Gear last year. In recent weeks, he has successfully defended the title against JD Drake, The Butcher, Matt Hardy and Jungle Boy.
His defence against Jungle Boy last week was celebrated by many, none more than Sting. The Icon spoke highly of this match, calling it the best wrestling he’d ever seen.
