A report has revealed that a top AEW star worked through a recent match on AEW Dynamite with a broken toe.
Addressing the injury to Nick Jackson, Dave Meltzer wrote in the current Wrestling Observer Newsletter (subscription required) that:
“They got through the best-of-seven with nobody missing a match, even though Pac got a broken nose right away and Nick Jackson suffered a broken toe in an early match.
“He was hurting just walking for the last month plus and still doing all the stuff he did in those matches.
“It is healing up to where he can walk without that much discomfort.”
The final matchup of the best-of-seven series between The Elite and Death Triangle took place at AEW Dynamite on January 11 2023.
The Escalara de la Muerte match saw the AEW Trios Championship suspended above the ring as both teams had a hard fought encounter to bring the series to an end.
It would be The Elite who would stand victorious as the new AEW Trios Champions.
