Carmelo Hayes Breaks Silence After Attacking Trick Williams

Carmelo Hayes has broken his silence following his savage betrayal of Trick Williams at WWE NXT Vengeance Day 2024.

Following his close-fought defeat to Ilja Dragunov in the event’s main event, Williams was consoled by his long-time friend and tag partner.

However, as many anticipated may happen – it was not a warm embrace awaiting Williams but a sharp knife in his back, as Hayes brutally attacked Williams’ knee with a steel chair as the show came to a close.

While many fans may not be surprised by Hayes’ actions – however, we have yet to hear from the former NXT Champion himself.

Thankfully, WWE cameras managed to catch up with HIM as he made his way backstage, with Kelly Kincaid attempting to get some answers as to why he did what he did.

While we didn’t get answers, we did get a rather brutal one word response – with Hayes borrowing his old friends catchphrase by saying: “whooped” – whilst still wielding the bent out of shape chair that was used to beat down Williams’ knee.

Hayes has yet to comment any further via his social media channels, however, one would expect we should receive some clarity on this week’s edition of NXT (February 6).
