WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H has addressed his potential in-ring WWE return following his retirement in 2022.
In 2022, Triple H officially announced his retirement from in-ring competition after suffering a cardiac arrest in 2021.
WWE celebrated The Game’s in-ring career by honoring him with a segment at WrestleMania 38 in April 2022.
Appearing on The Pat McAfee Show filmed live at WWE World during WrestleMania weekend, Paul “Triple H’ Levesque was asked if he still trains, despite his heart issues. He answered:
“I still train, I still do all that,”
On possibly getting back into the ring in the future, Triple H said:
“I don’t think so. I don’t think I should be out there taking bumps.”
On the pacemaker that works as a back-up for his heart, Triple H stated:
“I rode it til the wheels fell off, almost literally. I’m great with that and I was at a place where I should have been retiring anyway. I wanted to be done with it.”
“The last year right before this all happened, I had been asked to go to WrestleMania for 2 days [and] ‘I need ya, you can work with anybody you want.’ I said, ‘I don’t think I wanna do it.'”
“I thought about it and I was gonna go back and say I’m not doing it and then I had to not do it so I was already there. I’m good with it. I have zero regrets.”
Triple H’s last televised match was against Randy Orton at WWE Super Show Down in 2019.
Triple H is currently the head of creative and Chief Content Officer for WWE. The company will present WrestleMania 40 two-night event on April 6 and 7.
