Former NXT star Troy ‘Two Dimes’ Donovan has now commented on his WWE departure.
It was previously reported that Donovan had been released from his WWE contract due to a ‘policy issue‘.
Donovan has since taken to Twitter to note that ‘mistakes happen’, writing:
Thank you to everyone who’s reached out. Mistakes happen and lessons are learned. A bump in the road doesn’t define me though. I’ll be back ?
As of writing there has been no official word on the policy issue that led to Donovan’s departure.
‘Two Dimes’ had recently been introduced to NXT TV as a member of Tony D’Angelo’s ‘family’ alongside Channing ‘Stacks’ Lorenzo.
The star notably wrestled at NXT In Your House 2022, teaming with D’Angelo and ‘Stacks’ to score a victory over El Legado Del Fantasma.
Ahead of his release, Donovan was at the June 10 NXT house show in Tampa, but not the June 11 show in Largo.
Donovan appeared in several segments and matches filmed for the next two episodes of NXT 2.0 during last week’s tapings. You can read spoilers for the segments and matches taped right here.
Over 20 performers have left WWE this year so far. You can check out the full list of WWE departures in 2022 at this link.
