Tyson Fury Called Out By Current WWE Champion

Tyson Fury Called Out By Current WWE Champion WWE

WWE Tag Team Champion Austin Theory has called out boxing star Tyson Fury ahead of an upcoming UK premium live event.

WWE will visit Scotland for the second-ever Clash at the Castle event on June 15. This is following the success of the first Clash at the Castle show in 2022, which was headlined by a huge WWE Undisputed Universal Championship match between Roman Reigns and Drew McIntyre.

While Roman Reigns ultimately walked out with the gold, at one point it looked like Austin Theory was going to steal the gold by cashing in his Money in the Bank contract.

This ultimately didn’t happen, with Tyson Fury knocking Theory out before he could enter himself into the match.

During an interview with Bodyslam.net and Irish Wrestling & Entertainment’s Mark O’Brien, Austin Theory called out the lineal heavyweight champion, noting:

“You know, when I hear Clash of the Castle, I only think of one person, and that is Tyson Fury. Unfortunately, last time I was there, he sucker punched me. Unfortunately, last time I was there, he cost me becoming the WWE Champion. I would have already been the WWE champion if it wasn’t for Tyson Fury.

“So when I think of Clash of the Castle, I think that Tyson Fury should show up. I think Austin Theory’s gonna show up because I’m everywhere with the WWE. I’m always there, I’m always on the grind.

“But Tyson, if you feel like putting those donuts down, you wanna step up, come stand beside a real man, a man with so many abs that you wish you just had one, show up to Clash of the Castle. That’s all I wanna talk about when it comes to Clash of the Castle.

“So let’s see what happens, cause I’ll be there, I’ll be a champion. Tyson Fury will. Hopefully he’s in shape.”

Tyson Fury is currently preparing for his boxing match against Oleksandr Usyk May 18.

Fury has stepped into a pro-wrestling ring before, defeating Braun Strowman via countout at WWE Crown Jewel 2019.

Austin Theory and Grayson Waller won the SmackDown Tag Team Championship at WrestleMania 40, which was later replaced by the WWE Tag Team Championship.
