UFC Fighter Currently ‘In Talks’ With WWE WWE, UFC

A heavyweight UFC fighter has claimed to currently be “in talks” with WWE following the TKO merger.

With WWE and UFC now under the same umbrella in TKO, the increase in the amount of discussion regarding potential crossovers between the two brands has intensified.

We’ve already seen Lightweight fighter Michael Chandler use Monday Night Raw as a means to call out Conor McGregor – of whom he is now scheduled to fight at UFC 303, as well as several WWE stars be spotted in the crowd for big UFC events such as Rhea Ripley, Logan Paul and others.

But what about a UFC fighter actually competing inside a WWE ring?

Well, speaking on the podium ahead of UFC Fight Night St. Louis (via MMA Junkie), heavyweight fighter Derrick Lewis was asked whether he could potentially crossover into WWE in the future following the TKO merger, to which he revealed:

“What’s the TKO? (Lewis responded when asked if there could be a crossover to WWE via TKO merger)… Oh, yeah, yeah. We’re actually in talks right now.

“We’ve been talking for a few months now. I was supposed to go down there in February to check everything out.”

As well as revealing that he had already been in discussions with WWE, Lewis also revealed what his finishing move would be if he decided to get in the ring – which would be something along the lines of Rikishi’s legendary stink face:

“Um, it’d (my finisher in wrestling) would have to be something like Rikishi, you know?… You might see it. Somehow, I like taking off my shorts. So, we might see something like that. Yeah.”

WrestleTalk will provide further update on Lewis’ potential WWE future as/when they become available.
